Life Purpose Journeys
The Process: Putting it All Together
Our lives are our mythic journeys, and our happy endings are still to be won.

Rediscovering the Life You Are Meant to Live, and Creating It
Living our life purpose sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? It also sounds extremely vague–which matters a lot if you’re feeling frustrated, defeated, lost, or simply yearning for a life that would truly be fulfilling—a life that you still privately dream about achieving.
You need more than vague and abstract dreams to remove blocks successfully, to clearly envision what your ideal life will look like, and then to take concrete steps to achieve these goals.
THE GOOD NEWS is that it’s absolutely possible for you to put it all together and change and heal your life!
Here's the First Step:
If you find yourself doing all the “right things” and still feeling miserable, I invite you to take the following quiz:
Life Purpose Quiz
- Do you sometimes lose sleep or wake up in the middle of the night frustrated, angry, or sad because you feel trapped in a life that gives you very little beyond survival?
- Do you struggle with a sense that life is passing you by?
- Do you consistently feel dread going to work on Mondays (a feeling much deeper than “normal” resistance to getting up with an alarm and slogging into work rather than being able to sleep in!)?
- Do you have vivid memories of childhood ambitions or dreams that have stayed with you as an adult? Do you often feel wistful or sad when you privately recall them?
- Do you prioritize giving to others before you give anything to yourself?
- Do you yearn to find time to pursue hobbies you once loved such as carpentry, painting, coin-collecting, or photography yet are somehow always “too busy” to follow-up on this desire?
- Do you deliberately “shut down” or respond with cynicism when others speak enthusiastically of their ideals, passions, and successes?
- Is it hard for you to assert yourself and say “no” to others--often doing favors, running errands, loaning money, and caretaking others even when you are depleted and simply want to rest?
- Have you ever wanted to take a class or investigate what it would take to start a new business but talked yourself out of taking the next step?
- Do you often feel unhappy, restless, even depressed but are unable to pinpoint a good reason for these feelings?
- Do you quietly (or not so quietly) dislike your job, but feel stuck with no other options?
If you answered 'yes' to one or more of these questions read on:
Being able to confidently take steps to discover, to plan, and to create the life you truly desire is a multi-faceted process.
Hypnosis is an important tool for you to use because it allows you to access the resources of your own subconscious wisdom, freed from the blocks your conscious mind creates.
Our sessions will be designed with your individuality in mind. Working together, we will create an action plan which you will then be able to take back “home” and implement with my professional support when you need it.
Let’s demystify the process: step by step
Remember:
We All Have Wounds; What Matters Is What We
Do With Them.
Be The Person You Were Born To Be Before Life Got In The Way
Often, we are so overwhelmed with the day-to-day challenges of survival, we don’t look beyond our neighborhood “trees” to recognize the forest we’ve been wandering in. This sense of overwhelm may be true regardless of whether we are living paycheck to paycheck (or worse!) or making seven figures a year. As human beings, we have a natural tendency to acclimate ourselves to the familiar and to become very comfortable in a habitual rut despite the fact that we grew out of it long ago.
As human beings, we’re simply afraid of change. Often deeply afraid of it.
This situation is often combined with an actual fear of looking beyond the next turning of the path we are on because we feel we already have enough on our plate simply navigating from day to day and making it into next month.
We convince ourselves that looking ahead–let alone changing anything! –would only be a distraction. So, we literally keep our eyes to the ground, permitting ourselves only occasional glances up (and then only to make sure we’re not going to bump into something). We resist looking around at where we have come from and where we are heading. Earlier generations once called this attitude “keeping our noses to the grindstone.”
Of course, there’s a lot to be said for being a responsible adult capable of making ends meet and not sabotaging ourselves by taking needless risks and wandering off the path without a GPS!
If this is you, take a moment to pat yourself on the back! You are to be commended for your success to date.
AND
NOW IT’S OK TO TAKE A MOMENT TO EVALUATE THE TRUTH:
How far is the distance from the life you are living now to the life your heart truly desires?
Your life’s purpose journey will incorporate these 3 elements which we will explore together during our sessions:
- How to clarify and remove your personal blocks successfully.
- Clearly envision what your ideal life will look like
- Take concrete steps to achieve these goals.
Why Finding Your Life’s Purpose And Implementing Joy in Your Life is So Challenging
Joseph Campbell
Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.
Let’s return to our analogy of walking through “trees” as we try to navigate our life’s path.
The irony is, if we would simply pause a moment and put our traveling packs down to rest, we could lift up our heads and look around. Perhaps we would even be inspired to climb a tall tree as we used to do as children!
You see, if we can muster the childlike courage it takes to climb a tree, we would finally be able to appreciate the dimensions of this personal “life forest” we are trudging through.
What will our destination look like from this vista?
THE “LIFE SPIRIT JOURNEY” © PROCESS
As we process the distance between ourselves and our ultimate destination of a fulfilled and joyous life, we recognize both the obstacles we will face and the allies who will step forward to help us gain the strength and wisdom necessary to face them. Finally, our big-picture goal begins to come into focus—the road that leads to it now is an actual possibility to follow.
You will experience this destination in a manner unique to you and the experiences which have shaped you. However this will appear to you, your now-visible destination carries the essence of “home”—your truest home, the place you’ve always been meant to discover. It has been patiently waiting for you for years!
I WILL BE YOUR GUIDE AS WE EXPLORE THIS PROCESS TOGETHER
Joseph Campbell
“We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”
Your destination is the source of all your adult yearnings, your childhood dreams, the often-forgotten activities we once loved which bring us—and others—joy.
It includes the goals we once had when we were very young, goals that once resonated with our very soul: dreams and goals that we’ve often given up because they weren’t practical or “realistic”.
These deep inner goals often feel unattainable due to a myriad of reasons ranging from struggles with poverty, trauma, a lack of self-confidence and/or a creeping bitterness that manifests as cynicism. We may easily recognize this cynicism as an emotional “shut down” which regards any true passion or change with great suspicion.
Eleanor Roosevelt
“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
Specific Guidance And Tools You Will Receive
As Part Of This Unique “Life Spirit Journeys” © Process
I have described finding and achieving your life’s purpose using the metaphor of climbing a tree to survey the entirety of your “life forest” identifying first your ultimate destination, then taking a closer look to identify the specific issues and situations that are holding you back—your obstacles. From this “tree-top” vantage point, you will also recognize potential allies and resources to support you on your journey.
I am using this metaphor as a means to introduce the “Life Spirit Journey” © process to you. For you see, although this metaphor is an imaginary construct, the work we will be doing together is very real. And very exciting.
